Job Summary

Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Inventory Controller performs various Inventory Control activities including job kitting, inventory adjustments, cycle counting, incoming quality inspection and inventory put-away. The successful candidate must be efficient; organized, quality focused, and possess outstanding attention to detail.

  • Adheres to ESD protection and ensures proper handling of electronic items
  • Identifies and segregates incoming items that do not meet product quality requirements.
  • Builds part kits for manufacturing and monitors kit shortages
  • Performs inventory transactions in the manufacturing system.
  • Carries out cycle counting activities and participates in quarterly inventory counts.
  • Ensures main inventory is well organized, labeled, clean, and accessible at all times.
  • Ensures no unauthorized part movement without an appropriate inventory transaction.
  • Performs investigations and finds resolutions when inventory discrepancies occur. Makes recommendations to improve inventory accuracy.
  • May cover the shipping and/or receiving position as required.
  • Proactively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Attributes, Skills, Education and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with working knowledge of inventory control processes and transactions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Some heavy lifting required
