Overview
Expands Your Field of View, Not Your Costs
The chroma+scan 4000 family are laser line sensors designed to measure the profile of relatively flat, large panels. Each sensor has a 1.4 m (55.12”) field of view, much wider than traditional line sensors. Profiling wide panels can be done with far fewer sensors than previously required, reducing cost, integration effort, and simplifying integration and maintenance. For inspection of panels wider than the individual sensor field of view, multiple sensors are easily integrated to provide a single measured profile to the system controller.
High density profile data from the 4000 family is used for process monitoring, quality control and for control of downstream finishing operations.
Features
Standalone operation
The chroma+scan 4000's 'all-in-one' design means that a minimal amount of external hardware is required to interface to the sensor. All communication occurs over a gigabit Ethernet link, a virtual standard on all computing equipment.
Multiple scanning modes
Several built in operating modes allow you to get specific scanning data at run time directly from the sensor, reducing extra data post-processing.
Dynamic exposure control
Laser exposure is continually monitored and optimized for seamless scanning on light or dark surfaces, automatically adapting to surface condition changes to insure accurate, reliable data, no matter what is being inspected.
