LMI Technologies Inc. is a global manufacturer of 3D Sensor Technology. Our Head Office is located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, with our other offices in picturesque locations in Europe.
Our Executive Team brings industry and business experience together to understand our customer's and market needs and coordinates with all our internal departments to ensure we provide the highest quality for all our products and services to meet these needs. In addition to our corporate departments we have cultivated over 30 years of experience in the sensor technology field, along the way developing an in-house research and development team with strong applications, hardware and software expertise. Working together, the entire team provides a responsive, cooperative effort for our customers as we pursue first-to-market, cost effective, and innovative sensor solutions.

As CEO, Terry brings his leadership and management skills from years of involvement in high tech companies. Terry joined LMI as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in 2003. He is responsible for overseeing global R&D operations and his technical expertise and strong leadership has secured many new LMI patents, awards, and citings. Prior to LMI, Terry worked in the forestry industry for eight years, gaining valuable hands-on experience developing systems and patents in non-contact laser and x-ray scanning. In 1992, Terry formed Logical Vision Ltd., where he led a pioneering development in the first graphical programming software for vision application development. called WiT. Terry later sold Logical Vision, including its world-wide distribution channel, to Dalsa Coreco in 1998 where he continued as a Director for another four years before accepting the role of CTO with LMI. Terry earned his B.Sc. in Computing Science and Mathematics from Simon Fraser University, in BC, Canada in 1985 |

Neil joined LMI in 1997, and he was instrumental in the merger that consolidated all business activities under LMI Technologies Inc. In this capacity, he is responsible for all financial and accounting functions for LMI, playing a key role in acquisitions, international tax planning and structure, and the identification and implementation of operating synergies between the various offices. Neil serves on the Board of Directors and together with the other members of the executive team will lead LMI in setting the companies strategic direction. With over 27 years of financial experience in the high tech sector, Neil is a member of the Board of Directors of Financial Executives International (Vancouver Chapter), and an active member of British Columbia Technologies Industries Association. Neil graduated from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario with a bachelor's of commerce, with honours. He then decided to pursue a career in finance, completing his education with a chartered accountants designation. |

Cor Maas is the VP Strategic Development for LMI Technologies focused on establishing and implementing new business initiatives involving 3D sensor solutions. Cor is one of the founding members of LMI and is on the Board of Directors. Located in The Netherlands, Cor has represented LMI in Europe and Asia since 1995. Cor's involvement on the Board of Directors of the EMVA is helping direct the vision industry in Europe. Cor has over 20 years of experience successfully designing and applying 2D / 3D sensors for automation applications. Prior to his involvement with LMI, Cor was one of the founders of TPA, a sensor company in The Netherlands. As a member of the Executive Team, Cor is a key contributor in identifying, reviewing, and setting strategic direction for LMI. |

As VP of Marketing, Barry's 30 years of experience in building markets together with his technical training makes him well positioned in LMI. Barry co-founded Dynamic Control Systems with Len in 1976. From these origins, through to the founding of LMI in 1997 up to 2005 he was responsible for world wide business development in the wood product division followed by New Business Development. Barry continues to serve on the Board of Directors as he has since the formation of LMI Technologies. He earned a control technologist degree from British Columbia Institute of Technology. Prior to LMI, Barry worked for Kockum Industries, where he learned the ropes in the sawmill control systems industry, which he was later able to apply to LMI Technologies. As a member of the Executive Team, Barry, together with the other members will lead LMI in setting the companies strategic direction. |

As Director of Sales, Kevin brings 5 years of successful business development experience in building the Wood and Metals divisions within LMI Technologies. Kevin joined LMI Technologies in 1998 and has gained a vast understanding of LMI’s business by holding key roles in the company such as being the Manufacturing and Purchasing Manager for many years. Kevin was instrumental in implementing LMI’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system from it’s inception through to it’s current operation. Over the past several years Kevin has spent his time developing key relationships with our OEM clients and helping develop and bring new products to market. In 2005 Kevin achieved an MBA from Queen’s University, which built on the Bachelor of Commerce degree he held from Royal Roads University. Combining his extensive experience within LMI and his formal training Kevin brings a wealth of talent to this position. As a member of the executive team, Kevin, together with the other members will lead LMI in setting the companies strategic direction. |

Len co-founded a system integrator business called Dynamic Control Systems Inc. in 1976, which later became a laser sensor manufacturer for OEMs in the wood manufacturing industry. As a manufacturer of applied sensor technology, Dynamic Control Systems branched out to different markets, creating new vertical channels in rubber and tire, road and transportation, metals, agriculture, automotive, and of course continuing the specialization in the wood manufacturing industry. In 1997 Dynamic Control Systems became LMI Technologies Inc. For more that 30 years, Len has been part of the machine vision industry. Prior to LMI, he completed a diploma of technology in control electronics from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He used his training to design the first microprocessor-based servo controller for the sawmill industry. This is a skill he applied again with the first microcomputer based in-store pharmacy system, a control system still in use today. And again, when he designed one of the first sawmill optimization systems. Len is an active member of both the Automated Industries Association and the European Machine Vision Association. He is also a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the International Society for Optical Engineering. As a big supporter of education, he also champions charity fundraising events for Room to Read, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing education to children living in developing countries. |
